    Location: NC | Lowest starch possible. High fat, high fiber is the way to go. You want to stay under 20% NSC if you can.
Triple Crown Senior or Complete, Nutrenas new ProForce line looks promising, Seminole has good choices, Tribute, ADM, Renew Gold, etc. Stay away from sweet feeds like Omolene or the cheap milled types. Anything with corn, barley, oats is usually too high in starch but some higher fat feeds include oats without overloading on the sugar. You have to read the tag & do your research. Just bc it says "low or reduced starch" doesn't mean it is. |
