Location: SE Louisiana | This week one of my friends from back home posted a link from the local police department about a rash of heroin overdoses and one death in the area in just a short time... I was amazed because we had never had that drug around home. Today I got the news that one of my oldest and best friends died yesterday of a heart attack. Now.... Willy and me ain't angels.... We've done our share of lots of drugs, but we always knew our limits. The last bowl of meth I ever smoked or will smoke was with him just before I left and became homeless down here... I knew it would kill me if I didn't get away...
Now most folks here that know me know I don't care much for police these days, but I do have cop friends. Someone is spreading a deadly poison around my home and I've got 35 years background deep in that area there... I'm thinking about making an offer to a couple cop friends I have there...
Tomorrow when I sober up I'll try to get in contact with them... Meanwhile, I'm tipping a bottle to an old friend that loved to float on rivers and hunt arrowheads and argue with his Jack Russell terrorist.....

If he's now away from the area, I don't see a problem.
I'm sorry for your loss Komet. Always hard to loose an old buddy. |

Location: Texas | I think that would be an amazing thing to do in his honor. Drugs run rampant in this country and destroy so many lives. It sounds like it almost destroyed yours as well so what better way to stop it than to take a stand against it and try to help stop it. One of my exes had a and most likely still has a BAd problem. I went to the local police to try to bring down some of the local dealers in the city he bought from. I had numbers and names etc and even. Few threats from these skuzz buckets and the Waco police just looked at me like I was stupid so I hope u have better luck. |

Location: SE Louisiana | I know what I will most remember him for... He had a JRT named 'Jack'... He used to let the dog out and Jack would come back in with a rock in his mouth.... He would drop it on the floor and bark at it until you kicked it back outside.. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Sorry to hear about your friend, sometimes life can seem so unfair at times like this, at least you have lots of good memories of him and his little dog Jack, they sound like my uncle Don and his little dog he called Freeway. And my family on my dads side all loved to hunt arrowheads, heck i still do, I have even found a few out here on my place. |

| Komet, I am sorry to hear about your buddy. That's rough. You mentioned heroin, it has been on the news a lot lately that heroin is making inroads into the area. Its a cheap high. It used to be a "big city" drug, but it is getting more and more common here. |
