I wasn't aware of fires in Guthrie...just texted some friends who work at the Lazy E, will let you know what I hear...
Eta: that was a quick response. He supposes grass fire but hasn't heard how they started. They are east of the E right now and the wind out of the west is pushing them away from the ranch, but they're a little close for comfort...

Some city slicker thought because there was no burn ban in place he could have a " controlled burn" in 35 mph winds! Where is the common sense? Wind gusts 50 mph. He will be held responsible for the $$$ but I doubt he has enough $$ or insurance to cover 3-5000 acres of damage.

This happened years ago in a mobile home area near where I live. Trash fire started it. Windy dry and hot. A firefighter died from heat exhaustion.

We could smell and see the smoke at our house! Prayers that they get it under control today. I believe they said that it was 75% contained at 9 this morning.

How stupid!!! My neighbor burned my whole field off 2 years ago when we were in a drought situation. Burned his trash on the ground in 30 mph winds. Went in the house to get a glass of tea. We were so lucky it didn't get to the house and barn. Just can't fix stupid!!! So sorry for everyone and hope they can get it contained.
