Anyone who has a heart for honoring God and building His kingdom will face opposition. It should not come as a surprise when the forces of darkness marshal their attacks against us. God's people have dealt with opposition, oppression, and persecution for centuries. When you look back over two thousand years of history, the enemy has come time and time again with agenda to steal, kill, and destroy John 10:10
Psalm 83 : 9-18 reveals three ways to respond when your under attack.
"Don't be surprised" when you come under attack for righteousness' sake. Our world is not friendly toward those who hold the truth and stand for righteousness. You are not alone. There are many who have been attacked and are being attacked
"Remember, God is in control" and is for you. The psalmist used examples of God shaming His enemies through supernatural acts and the faithfulness of servants , like Debra , Barak. Judge 4:-5, and Gideon Judges 6-8 God is more than capable of dealing with opposition and any enemy that would stand for you. And those who stand in defiance of God's plan and righteous truth should beware.
"Cry out to God" and trust Him to accomplish His will. Ask for His power and strength. Remember, He blows the chaff away and sets the mountains on fire Psalm 83:13-14 He can give you strength to stand during the attack. Ask Him to accomplish His purpose. Pray " that they may seek Your name, O Lord and that they may know You, whose name alone is the Lord. v 16,18 Finally, praise Him for His sovereignty and for who He is; " the Most High over all the earth"
Father, guide me today, give me strength, and power over this darkness. Help me to always bring glory and honor to You. AMEN
