I can't remember who on here posted some beautiful restored furniture a while back but I thought maybe they'd see this.

I have a bunch a nice new wooden wire spools that I picked up from work. They are super thick and solid and I want to paint them to use as side tables in the living room.

After priming and painting how do you create the "washed" look? Do you use sandpaper or some type of paint remover?
