Location: Montana | I hope you don't mind me sharing pictures of my stud, Frenchmans Elvis. I struggle to get a good picture of him with a halter on and he just doesn't look like "him" in those pictures. However, out in the pasture he is dirty, messy, but it's him. Location: Tx | GORGEOUS MAN! How old was he in your avatar photo and how old is he now? Can you post photos of him as he aged to see his color transformation?
I have one that is a 6 year old, I bought him over the winter and he was dappled but now in his summer coat he considerably darker. Not as dark as those photos but maybe as dark as your avatar photo. Just wondering if he will continue to change as he gets older.

Thank you everyone for your compliments! I am a bit parital to the guy but we couldn't be happier with him and his colts!
I tried to go through some old pictures on my computer to see his change of color for you. The picture of him in my avatar is when he was a three year old.
As a three year old
Here he is as a 4 year old,
and in the fall of his 4 year old year:
Him as a 6 year old (last summer)
He's given us some darker palomino foals too:
