i hear bad things about omolene 200, such as ulcers, mold etc. i feed ProForce Fiber now which is 21$ a bag, and the omolene is 17. i feed 1 scoop of pro force. would i have to feed more of the omolene? what im asking is, would it be cheaper to which feeds in the long run.. (my feed store isnt close, it cost a lot in gas, and tractor supply is walking distance)
the proforce is 12% protein 14% fat
the omolene is 14% protein 6% fat
i dont have any grass btw so i always look at fat percentage too. i have 2 horses that are easy keepers and get 2 scoops am-pm of alfifa cubes and 1 scoop of proforce and look awesome. but i have a really hard keeper i just bought that i have been having a hard time putting weight on.
We feed Purina to all of our horses. For our easy keepers (pasture) they get impact (used to be Horsemens Edge). I feed 200 to my barrel horses and I have started adding SuperSport to my futurity colt's feed. Our hardkeepers will get a mix of 200 and senior (we have an older horse) and we have had good results with putting weight on and maintaining it.
