Location: British Columbia		I bought a colt with a beautiful long mane and having owned an appaloosa for the longest time I've become particularly fond of nice manes.

He keeps putting his head through the fence boards and rubbing off the middle portion of his mane. I bought a slinky hoping if I put that on it will protect it until next month when we move to our new house(the new fencing is chicken wire with a top rail so nowhere for him to rub). Is there anything to put on the spot that he rubbed to make it grow a little quicker? Will the slinky help reduce rubbing at all?

Location: Texas		My horse did that last summer and I hated it!!.

I use a home made show sheen to help the mane grow.

1/4 cups conditioner ( I use a moisturizing conditioner to help it grow)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup baby oil
1 Tbs vinager or ACV ( optional)

It make the hair grow fairly quickly. :)
