Location: God's Country | Congrats! You will have a great time. Things to think about - make sure you have current coggins and health papers. We always boost our vacinations one month before the show as well. Stalls are all on concrete - we bring rubber mats along. Some people use soft-ride boots, others just bed extra heavy. There is plenty of room to camp and there are lots of sites with full hook-ups. If you need that - you have to reserve your camping spot with the fairgrounds, not NBHA.
Also, if you have never run at a major show before - try to be sure to figure out when you will actually run. Each go takes a couple of days to complete, and you can get all stressed out worrying about when to get ready, when to warm up...... We base our times on the show running 50 horses per hour. We also find that we don't watch a lot of runs - we spend more time cooking out, camping, and relaxing. Get ready for a fun week! |
