I know there's been some talk on here from time to time about trying Ranch / Stock horse events with your barrel horses since they look for a horse that moves out naturally.
If you live in the southeast here's your chance... they're having a clinic & a show the last weekend of this month in Cleveland, TN and it looks like it's going to be a really neat event. Please feel free to share on your facebook and elsewhere..... we don't have very many events of this type in east TN at all and I'm hoping they get a big response and see that people are interested.

The Tri-Star Stock Horse Show series begins with an exciting weekend in Cleveland, Tennessee. We are excited to have two Extreme Mustang makeover Champions as our clinicians on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Drew Olsen’s training program includes colt starting, working problem horses, continued training and advancement. Drew specializes in helping horses and their owners build better relationships through clear communication and respect. Following Saturdays clinic you can test your self during the American Stock Horse Association approved show on Sunday, June 1st. There are only four classes, reining, trail, stock horse pleasure and working cow horse. During each class, you work individually, receive a score on each maneuver. You can review your scores to see where you excelled and where you need to focus your training on. This system is designed to help you improve your horsemanship.
