Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | If no added money then yes that's way to high IMO. There's no way I could make that hauling all my horses because that would be $200 I'm entry fees. Only time I will pay that much is if there's a lot of added money. |

Location: California | For Southern California that's almost the lowest you will find! Any races with added money are $75 plus a $10 office/grounds fee and that's for anywhere between $1000-$3000 added. If the $50 is for a series and there are no other fees I would assume some of that is being held for the series awards. |

Location: East Texas | Sorry...just had to be a smart ass on a Friday afternoon. Anyway, I looked at the type events that you describe here on the events page and most in my area (East Texas) were $30-$40. |

I wouldn't pay $50 unless there was a few grand added.
That doesn't include fundraisers or benefits though. They have their own 'rules'.

| Depends... If you're paying $50 entry fee with no/low office hold out and no garbage fees then I think it's reasonable but if you are paying $50 entry fee with 30% office hold out, arena fees, office fees and late fees...you are better off staying home. I support a higher entry fee with no added money if its 90-100% payback- |

| I know which jackpot you are talking about.
If you think it is too high, don't go.
This series has a free year lease on a nice gooseneck, free parking, ground is good, not the nicest warm up, but a lot better then some.
Edited to add 2 jackpots per day so you save in fuel too

Location: Riding Crackhead. | From what Cheryl described it sounds like it might be worth it if you're going to do the series for a chance at those great prizes. It also depends on how far I have to drive. Around here its nothing to drive 100 miles to a run with no added money just to get some runs in. If it was close and I didn't have to spend a buttload on fuel....yes I'd pay $50. |

| I think it is... although it is the norm here in California. One of the reasons why I prefer to run with CGA. |

If the 50.00 entry fee is for two runs and points go for nice awards, and theres not many other barrel races to go to at the time, yes I would pay the 50.00...Thats the way most of your NBHA's around here are anyways. They dont have added money most of the time but you are running for year end awards and sometimes those awards are pretty darn nice. |

Location: North of the 49th Parallel | $50 per run. If it's not rained out on Sunday, I will go to the jackpot only because the arena is super close to home and I have nothing better to do. I'm not crazy on the fees because I have no intentions of six runs to qualify for the series finals (horse isn't a fan of the pen. Or maybe it's me. I'm not sure). |

| Then definitely not. Way too high for what's offered. That trailer can only be won by one person. All other awards go to one person for thst matter :-/ |

Location: North MS | Too high! Anything over $25 for no or low added money and I cringe! I know there is an $800 friday night run coming up with $35 EF, then Sat and Sun it is $40 with $1500 added. Best two times go to average with $500 added I think.....
Our state NBHA now has set fees no matter where you run. Open- $25, Youth- $20, Senior-$20 and adult is the directors discretion.
I'm in a small series that is BBR approved and it has a $25 EF and $20 sidepots. Buckle awards and high point wade saddle pad. |
