Location: Heart of Texas | There are a TON! The area is so big it really depends on where you move that'll dictate where you run. But there are some good NBHA districts, WrapN3 is good producion, and a ton of local stuff. Just depends how far you wanna travel really. |

Oil fields? You'll love the WrapN3 races. Renee puts on the best barrel races in Texas. Go to www.wrapn3.com and you can see what she has to offer.
There is also the Blue Bonnet Barrel Racing Association that caters to novice horses and age groups. They also have a website.
I think there is still an NBHA district still going around there also. |

Not that I know of and right now it's hard finding places to stay because of the oil boom. Housing comes at a premium. We live 45 miles NW of San Antonio and I don't know anything like that around here either.
There are quite a few people on here that live around San Antonio and they might know of something. |

Let us know once you settle on a specific area or little town. We might know someone there for a place to stay for you and your horse. |

| Bul Verde has a rodeo every weekend. I can't remember if it is Friday and Saturday or just Saturday. It always draws a big crowd so it's a good one for seasoning a young one. Blue Bonnet Barrel Races are within 150 (I think) mile radius of San Antonio and are once a month. There is an active NBHA up there and Wrapn3's, too. Lester Mier has open rodeos all around there too. Look up Cowboy Sports News and they have a list stuff to go to. |

| WRAPN3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I have so much fun at Bulverde on Saturdays. The ground is always great, you enter when you get there, easy, cheap, and noisiest craziest crowd ever. Talk about atmosphere to feed on! Slack is quieter, but still busy. Very very fun.
I like NBHA 27 races too. Wrapn3 has spoiled me on 55-60 runs an hour, but I haven't had a problem and really enjoy 27s ladies. They're trying really hard to make it fun and functional.
I had to move too far away to comfortably get to any races up there, and I'm seriously feeling sad. Can't wait to get back!! |

there's a wrapn3 at rose palace in NW SA this weekend, will probably have 400+ each day.
tejas is every Saturday night in Bulverde. enter on wed night or be there before 7 to enter on site. https://tejasrodeo.com/contestant-info/
http://www.thcbra.com/THCBRA/Welcome.html this is north of SA in Dripping springs, they have a big nice indoor and they have exb and jackpot every Tuesday night.
NBHA TX 27.. we had 180 entries this past weekend.
there's an open 4d off 1604 in SA June 7 for 4H benefit

The Stockdale race series has ended, I believe. There is another series being held by the NBHA 27 gals that is at the Rio Cibolo in Seguin on Friday nights. They're calling it "Friday Night Lights". They always put on a pretty good race. |

Location: Bandera, TX | If your going to be SW of SA. Go straight up 173 to Bandera for the Friday night rodeo at Mansfield Park. You might find a place near Hondo or Devine to Board and Room at. I have no leads on a location as all that were avaliable have been "no-vacancy" for a long while. |
