So this weekend the hubby and I are gonna be fixing and updating our fence. It is T-posts with wood corner posts and high tensil wire. We are gonna replace all the corner posts due to frost upheaveal and replace all the insulators. I ordered white insulators and i want to paint all the posts white. Any ideas on how to quickly and easily paint the posts? I was gonna get a sprayer but my hubby thinks it will waste too much paint and to use a paint brush... but i have like 300 posts total! so any ideas? O and can i use one paint to do both metal and the wood?

Buy a pump sprayer. The kind you use for spraying weeds etc. Thin your paint 1/3 with mineral sprites. easy to carry needs no power works great and is cheap.

Of if water based, dilute it with water. This is what I use too.

wouldnt this work as a touch up or a white wash? i'm not sure it would cover the posts well enough if diluted.. would it?

Works just fine. ALL paint has to be diluted to spray it does not make any difference what sprayer you are using. Yes if you thin it to much you would get a white wash effect.
