| I have been working with a high potential gelding for a couple of years now , started him up as a 3 year old. He has a lot of talent, but I feel I am in his way, at home he will cruise a nice pattern , feel relaxed and confident and under himself, we get to a show and I tense upon him and his nose goes up he acts up I dont trust him so on and so on, I feel like I get in his way and give him anxiety. I tell myself over and over to relax and let him do his thing yet everytime I find us in the same situation. I know once we click we will be a good team, but I am having a hard time getting there . any suggestions ?! | |

| At the show give him a little ace or something so that you have the comfidence and after you feel more comfident less ace. I had a horse that would be a little bucky when fresh so i wpuld give him ace on the way to show so he would be relaxed when i got there ride him and then by show time it would be worn off.

| Could you get someone else to run him for you so that you can watch? I have a lot of confidence/anxiety issues riding and it really helps if I can see someone else ride the horse first. | |
