I love my FreeStyle . It takes the lite strips. The strips have little points on the sides that just suck up a pin prick of blood.. Mine came with a small case just a little bigger then a billfold. Just keep it in your purse!

LOL, I don't have a purse, but if it can go in my truck console, that will work fine. I am never away from my truck.

I would call your pharmacy insurance carrier and see what your provider prefers. When I worked in the pharmacy Freestyle and OneTouch were quite popular.

Ask your your primary care doc. He probably has some free ones hanging around. Strips are what will cost you. Most now are little and take very small amounts of blood. When I worked home health we always had a few freebies around. Ask your nurse friends to help you out. You can get wholesale provider who will mail to you according to insurance provider. They will automatically send to you each month.
