about 2 weeks ago filly was kicked. Was pretty darn lame gave Bute put on rest. About a week later she seemed sound. Vet was out said filly was nice n square but when palpated area was extremely sore. Vet things it's most likely just deep bruising due to how fast it was getting better. My question is do u bring your horses back with light work if they still have body soreness due to injury?

I'd give her another week or 2 to heal.

I would hand walk her and maybe some controlled turn out. If it is just soreness this will help.

no give her few more weeks. But don't stall her up. She will get stiff. Just my opinion.

She is in a stall with a run for good now. She seems really happy though and enjoys her next door neighbors. I decided I can't take the risk of her getting hurt hurt ( she asked for it from the other horses she is a 2 year old alpha ) she doesn't just have bite marks all over her but puncture wounds and it was just a matter of time till she was seriously hurt.i have decided on at least another week off and I started hand walking her yesterday. I know moving her to a stall with run does not guarantee anything but it will sure help
