I am having problems on the second barrel when I go to the right.. When I ask for speed no matter how much leg or lift I use she flattens out and shoulders in. I recently tried going to the left barrel and don't seem to have this problem anymore. I feel I am avoiding the problem by going to the left, but maybe some horses just do better going that way. Any thoughts or experiences similair?

You are just avoiding the problem if you haven't addressed it yet. There is a reason she is shouldering in so badly, likely pain related. Going left will be a temporary fix until she figures out that going that way still hurts. Once you find WHY she's doing that, and address it, THEN switching her to the left can help horses get over their fear of the pain very quickly.
