I have a very reputable lameness vet coming out wendesday morning, I just don't even have the slightest clue what to expect. He had his hocks done 6 months ago, but the few times they've been done I've never really seen progress. This run was just awful and you can see it in his turns and the straight away's that something is just off. He was a solid 1D horse last year and this run got a 4D check. I haven't gotten back on since this run as I'm waiting to get my vet's advice. Does this look front end or backend? I really can't tell at all what looks wrong just that something is wrong, his turns are always smooth and it was like riding through rapid waves around those barrels. Any advice welcome, he's only 8.

Could be front end or back end - every time people on here have thought my gray was sore in his hocks or stifles it has been somewhere else (usually feet, but once the problem stemmed from the SI joint) so you can't diagnose from a video. Good luck - I hope you are able to find some answers. Kudos to you for knowing something is off and going on a search for answers.
To me, he looks like he's physically hanging up coming out of the barrels plus having trouble between the barrels stretching out to run. I have no idea what it could mean as I don't know how he's riding, warming up ect. I'm guessing hind end from the way he acts coming out of the barrels and back/ shoulders maybe between the barrels.
You can tell he's truly trying for you it appears he is just having an issue preventing him from delivering what he used to.
I just fought lameness that was small where only I could tell on my mare for a year. Keep your head up and go with your gut no matter how much you want to ignore it. Mine ended up being spot on.
