| It seems like a good way to go to me. I have thought about it. The down side would be:
1. When you get to the rodeo/show you aren't going to run to the dollar store for something.
2. They depreciate quickly, and are hard to sell.
3. You have another engine to maintain etc.
Up side:
1. Lots of room
2. You can use it for any overnight camping you want-----pull boat etc. |

Location: west of East Texas | I do. It's a Class C, Minnie Winnebago. It sits on a Ford E450. We borrowed it from my SIL for Youth World one year and within a couple of months we ended up buying. I pull a Sooner 3H but I also use it for the beach pulling a jeep, the lake pulling a boat, the deer lease pulling a flat bed trailer full of 'manly things', family gatherings, guest house when we have company. Sometimes we take it to dinner! It has two slide outs and will sleep 8 if we need it to. The biggest advantage to it is how much room you have, both for the trip and once you get to your destination. The kids and dogs all have their own 'spaces' and we don't see much of them while we are driving. There is way more living space for a family of four in this than most of LQ trailers The ONLY downfall is not having a run-around vehicle once you get there. That doesn't bother me but if the husband goes and it's for a week or so, we will rent a car when we get there. The gas mileage stinks but it does in my truck also. What we save in being able to bring groceries, snacks and drinks helps make up the difference. As far as handling, it drives and maneuvers like a regular truck so getting in and out of gas stations and parking lots is easy. |
