Location: Ohio | I have traded and sold tack through facebook multiple times and never had a problem until recently. After several messages I traded a girl a very nice rawhide wrapped headstall and cashel fly mask for a leather sidepull with rope nose band. Nothing fancy and I knew it wasn't worth the same value of my tack but I thought hey, if she really likes it I guess it's better than collecting dust in my tack room. I very specifically asked for tracking on mine and did the same for her. Needless to say I never got one. She said she sent hers through Mail N More in TX and the tracking wasn't on the receipt. A few days later I messaged her and said how uncomfortable I felt about not having tracking and wondered if she could call them with her info and see if they could get me one. She emails me back 5 minutes later and says she "talked to them and it should be there by Wed/Thursday of this week". I asked her why she didn't get tracking info and got no reply... emailed again last night, no reply. Long story short, I called Mail N More myself and they said she hadn't sent out anything through them since the 7th...
Here is the kicker, I just found out she is 15 (I assumed she was older because she runs a "rescue")! I found her mother on facebook and was thinking about trying to get in contact with her. Or if the headstall never shows up I could contact her local police department and see what they think. Its just really sad that a 15 yr old may be scamming people. I have all of our conversations saved, pictures of my tack and also picks of the rawhide headstall being worn by her horse. So frustrated and wondered how you guys would personally handle it. Its really not about the money or items lost but being scammed by a kid who seems to be going down the wrong road. |

I hate dealing with parents, especially one that lets their 15 yr old run a "rescue" (you should see some of the pics on her facebook, no way a good parent would let her post some of the things she does of their horses!). I have a gut feeling this isn't going to end well regardless.

Location: Sperry, OK | Just send her one more e/mail letting her know if you don't have the specified tack by a certain date, you will take it to the police in her hometown and file criminal charges on her. I bet she responds then, if not she needs to be charged. |

Location: Ohio | I searched under many of the tack sale sites on facebook and she isn't on any of the banned lists and the posts on her timeline go back to 2011... so hopefully she isn't scamming under different names. She finally wrote back saying she think she may have thrown away the receipt. Little does she know I have already call the place myself to see that she even sent it... |

| Unfortunately a lot of parents don't care or know their kids are doing that. There's no accountability any more. I agree try contacting the mom and see what happens. And keep perusing it. |

I get that she lied, but maybe she's embarrassed that it's taking so long to get things shipped. Give her a deadline on whatever you'd like her to do (mail the trade item or your stuff back) or ______ happens. |

Location: Ohio | I sent her a message stating that I contacted the Mail N More and that they had no records of her shipping anything out. Also told her she has until Tuesday to sort this out before I call local law enforcement. No response yet but I told her I had everything documented so blocking me on facebook wouldn't be a good idea should I be forced to contact local law enforcement. I was pretty peeved when I saw she already posted my cashel fly mask for sale. The older I get the less tolerance and patience I have... kids these days.  |

| Yeah I get nervous on fb. Ive never "traded" but have purchased. So far so good but I know many who have had bad experiences.

Location: Ohio | I have no way to call the mother! Otherwise that would have been the first thing I did. I did however message her on facebook but I think it went to her "other" folder because she is not on my friends list. Lets just say I nicely gave her an earful of her daughters habits of conducting business. Daughter did make up a story about their truck being hit and it was in the shop, mail man didn't pick up the package left on the porch and then finally that she had gotten me confused with another person who also had items being shipped to them (because it was so HARD for her to scroll up our conversations on facebook and see our agreement was there in black and white).
She just sent me a picture of her shipping receipt from this morning that has both our addresses on it... feel free to pm me for this little scam artists name so you can stay away from her. Like I said, she has no bad feedback on any of the facebook sites and has tons of tack listed everywhere. They also run a rescue where they believe in letting horses suffer with cancer (her pictures were horrendous, they let a mare suffer and dwindle down to nothing because she was "still eating and getting up just fine. Worst looking horse I have ever seen still standing! I have never seen a horse so skinny where their chest/ neck look deformed) and they also believe in riding their extremely underweight rehab horses. If I had only seen all this before getting involved with her. No way a good parent would let this crap go on...  |

OR.......I will venture to say that "law enforcement" would be able to help you......I would be posting her name and BAD reviews all over FB and on any site where she is advertising....that should get "someone's attention......IF you let it slide, you are enabling her to scam others! |

Location: Ohio | Just did some digging... mom has an arrest record and was charged with being a fugitive from justice. I doubt it would do any good. Trust me, she will be getting an earful when she gets that facebook message. |

What should I call in to the police department? That her daughter tried to scam me and it took threatening to get the item sent out? Im sure if she has an arrest record they could easily get in contact with her lol
Edited to add... and yes! I will be leaving her on bad sellers lists everywhere!
