What incentives do you like to see when considering a stud? I know Future Fortunes is #1 but that's at least a 7 year wait. So what else? TC100, PESI, VGBRA? Thanks!

Future fortunes is great but I wouldn't fret over not having him in right away- some of the best paying incentives as an owner/breeder are the breeders incentives that run with the specific futurity/Derby events like a couple you have mentioned. VGBRA pays awesome, so do the bigger fall events like the 5 State Breeders, Roper Rally, jj classic, Hawki.... and as Chelsea mentioned PESI and TC100 and BRIF are great because they also run hand in hand with many of the big races throughout the year. Running for all that extra $$ for no extra entry fee adds up quick! We have a MN breeders futurity and maturity that pays really well too. Some of them are fairly inexpensive to enroll in (less than $500), others will have an auction to sell a breeding as your 'fee'. For the serious futurity breeder and trainers they generally want the Colts that are eligible for the major incentives since the more money the Colt wins, the more money can be made. :)

Thanks! I'm in Tennessee so I'm kind of leary about doing the hawki, vgbra and some of them that are so far away, but we want to get him in as many as possible. So I thought I would get some opinions. :)

I wouldn't let your location limit you. I am in WY and have foals that I know of in GA, WV, CA, TX, MO, PA, IL, ID, MI, MT, CO, NE, NM, UT and those are just the ones I remember shipping babies to. We have kept ours in the 5-State and VGBRA. I would like to do some others, but we breed a small number since we are live cover only and it just wouldn't pay for us to pay a stallion into a ton of incentives in the hopes 1 or 2 might get a chance with a good trainer. The trainers/riders are the ones that will make your breeding program profitable.
