Location: Broxton, Ga | Members of Sgt. Bergdahl's unit have accused him of being a deserter. Mr. Hagel noted there are no charges against Sgt. Bergdahl—and regardless, the military always seeks to free captive soldiers.
Mr. Hagel also took on critics of the Bergdahl family. Critics have in particular raised questions about Sgt. Bergdahl's father, Bob Bergdahl, who learned Pashto, a language spoken in Afghanistan and Pakistan, grew a beard, and made statements about the war in Afghanistan
"I've been offended and disappointed in how the Bergdahl family has been treated by some people," Mr. Hagel said. "No family deserves this."

Location: Kansas | I had to go to work and couldn't watch it all but many of these WH minions think of desertion in the same context as calling in sick to work. They are also dismissive of the platoon members who are 100% sure Bergdahl deserted. Time will tell but speculation is the guy may stay in Germany for months.

| I'd like to see what happens on the local basis when one of the traded prisoners kills more americans. He (Bergdahl) will wish he was still in Afghanistan! I'm also currious to see how this affects future recruits...A comander In Chief that lacks the capasity to lead, and a military that holds no soldiers accountable. Should be interesting...

Location: Peach State | I heard when they were interviewing different members of his platoon a week after he left the base they heard radio chatter of an American looking for someone that spoke English in a nearby village bc he wanted to talk to the Taliban, and it just so happened that in the weeks following him being missing that attacks on our soldiers in that area got much more precise.

Obama has shown he will take personal vengeance on any military person and kick them out if they so much as blink their eyes in his direction .... so they are letting their careers rule the oaths they took to our constitution .... NADA .. |

He will never be impeached because not enough members of congress has the courage, as they fear the political backlash for persecuting our first black president. Obozo's popularity can't get much worse anyway, so he is doing what he can to minimize the damage by the midterm elections in the fall. If the Republicans take over the senate and hold the House, then his evil agenda will be doomed to exact any further damage and he will serve out his final 2 years with both houses lined up against him. I think he will continue to pull stunts like this to draw attention to him.....and even many in the media will oblige. This, he probably calculates, might draw enough attention away from Democrat incumbents and maybe protect many of them enough to win re-election. In effect, he is acting as a lightning rod, protecting the progressive scum trying to hold on to their seats. |

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the only U.S. soldier held captive in Afghanistan, is scheduled to leave Germany sometime today and will arrive in Texas overnight, CBS News correspondent David Martin reports.
Officials had previously said the intention was for Bergdahl to be reunited with his family at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

I think you missed the word "could"........he has now been released from the hospital and is still under investigation. Now he can be required to answer question regarding his leaving the base. On another note, I heard that he has yet to speak to his parents. He never asked for them. |

Where will those terrorists eventually wind up? If you want, you can have a chip implanted in your family dog that will enable you to track where he is, if he is stolen or runs off. That is technology that is available to the public. Imagine what kinds of devices the CIA has at their disposal. Those guys could eventually wind up providing us with information that could prove to be immensely valuable. I'm just speculating. I can't imagine your feelings. I have two sons (1.5 years and one due in four weeks). My husband and I both come from families that have had several career soldiers. But, I honestly would NOT support my children joining the armed forces at this point. This administration has tried its best to turn our military forces into a joke and has continually displayed ever-deteriorating judgment. Luckily for me, I have a long ways to go before this is an immediate concern for me. How would you feel if one of your boys decided he was dead set on joining the military under this administration? Am I just being overly paranoid? Lol |

Actually, he may not be smart in how he dealt with this, or could it be that in his agenda that he is actually brilliant? Remember, we are dealing with a follower of Saul Alinski. This is all part of the master plan to undermine everything that this country stands for. Now just getting straight to Beau, I think he deserted, no duobt about that. The way this whole thing was handled was just wrong on so many levels, but with this administration, it don't suprise me at all. |
