My colt (he is a yearling) has a lovely lower leg wound that, while it is healing well, it is taking FOREVER! I stumbled onto these products that are helpful in supporting the healing process and was wondering if anyone has had success with them? I know lower leg wounds take longer to heal than other wounds because there is not alot of flesh on the legs but im starting to wonder if he is maybe "missing" something. I have thought about having the vet come out and draw some blood from him to see if maybe something is out of whack.
P.S. if anyone was curious, this is the handsome boy im talking about.

I like to use the Nutrawound, in fact I strained my back and have been taking it myself. I can tell when it wears off I can't bend over. I take it then wait about 30 minutes and I can bend again.
I used it for a bowed tendon and it takes the inflamation out really good

what you are doing isn't getting the results you want. try something different. we have SL and T.H.E. in our barn. i folks at T.H.E. are really helpful.

I just had a horse hit a metal gate post pushed it 6 inches and broke the welds on the metal panel attached and ran 3 of the rails into himself. One on his neck was small the other was at least 4 inches deep and one in his chest was 6 inches deep and about 1 1//2 across. I started him on Nutrawound after 5 days it has been 2 1/2 weeks and he is basically healed up just the outside left to close all the way. I was impressed and could see a difference after 2 days the color of the flesh inside the wound changed and got healthier looking if that makes sense.

I sent her pictures, but I am also a fan of NutraWOUND. I had to give it a try on a nasty chest wound on my yearling and it healed it really well. Way better than I expected.

My horse has a pretty horrific hock wound. After a couple weeks of stall rest I started him back on THE muscle mass, which I have nutrawoumd added too. I have been treating with PF Wonder Salve and have been doing laser treatments. In two mad a half weeks the wound has closed up an inch in length and 7/8 of an inch in width. I think it's the combination of what I am doing but I am more than impressed with the results.
The first picture was from June 6th and the second was from June 19.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with how it's healing. Of course when it's your only barrel horse it's going way too slow lol. Good luck with your colt.
