I hate to post about stuff like this, but if any of you all have went through it I'd like to hear your experience with it and how long you weren't able to ride! I have some vaginal cysts that have to be surgically removed in the next couple weeks, there the Gartner ones she thinks, not the Bartholin cysts. She wants to remove it because it keeps getting bigger and bigger every year and soon it'll be too hard to remove. We haven't gotten to fully talk about what I should expect but she said I wouldn't be able to swim for about 3 weeks and that the pain would feel like when you bite your lip too hard...yay. Lol. Anyways, my main question to those who have had it, is how long did it take for you to heal? And how long will I not be able to ride? I'm wondering and really concerned because that deciphers if I have my horse boarded again next month. I hate to pay $300 to have her boarded where I can ride her, if I can't ride her! Thanks!

This is something you need to talk to your doctor about.  If i had to guess you probably won't be able to ride for a few weeks at least.  Good luck.

I agree with the above posters.... but I would say that after a certain healing time then it would be up to you and when it is comfortable enough for you to ride.

I think those cysts are in a sensitive place and I'd give them plenty of time to heal. You'll know once you get on your horse if it's too soon or not. I'd think you'd need at least a few weeks to heal. but I still would not move my horse. It's too much stress for them to move back and forth like that IMO.

I'm going to talk to my doctor and have an appointment with her. I just wanted to see if anyone had any PERSONAL experience with this. I just don't know anyone that's had this issue and thought someone out there possible has and could relate and tell me how there's was. I know BHW doesn't specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. Thanks. I appreciate the good luck wishes! Thank you!
