I was curious to hear opinions on the best growth feeds out there ? Seems like they all have different protein & fat % so I just wondered which one people like the best !

last year I fed Safechoice Perform. I was really happy with it. The price is right and it is easy to find in my area. They looked great and I didn't have to feed much. This year I am going to try JuniorGLO from ADM. I found a dealer in my area and have switched my 2 old guys to SeniorGLO and my show horse and prospects will be on PrimeGLO. I like the ingredients the low NSC and although the price is really high, you feed a very very small amount. mature horses get 4lbs max...more like 1-2 does the trick.

I am very happy with Woody's Futurity Blends!  Very small volume with a lot of punch!

I am not sure where you are located, but here in WA, we have a feed called LMF. They have a LMF Development and it REALLY puts a nice bloom and some growth on a youngster.

Swear by Ultium Growth. It's a fixed formula feed too so not guilty of most of the sins of Purina as expounded frequently on here. All my babies get it now and will get it in future. It's awesome. Couldn't be happier with my two year old.

I do hear alot of good about the ultium growth :) people seem to really like it & see good results . What age does everyone switch the young horses off of the growth feeds ? I know everyone is different .

I have used this on my show horse as a yearling through his 2yr old year and he looked beyond fabulous. It's really pricey and I didn't like how much the bag says to feed. Other than that it is a really great feed. I switched him to Ultium as a 3 and he was a hyper turd. He's going to be on ADM as well-the PrimeGLO

I fed it until she became a yearling. I would probably be willing to feed it to 18 months but not 2 years though I know some do. I had her on really good hay the entire time and only fed like half the recommended amount on the bag. It is pricey but lasts longer if you feed half the recommended and I don't think they need more with good hay.

Well like the above said, it also will depend on what else they get. Due to our drought we've been feeding old home grown grass hay and some that we have had shipped in. It isn't the best quality. Not moldy or dusty, but what was shipped in was very stemmy and what we raised is just OLD. I feel they could use the extra vitamins from the grain and I add some weanling formula Muscle Mass for them.
