| Jsyk a standard bred mare will make an outstanding mule for trail riding. It gives a nice long trot. |

Location: Oklahoma | I had one growing up. Best dang horse I've ever had. lol. He blonged to an older gentle man that lived a few miles down the road. he had bad eyesight and hearing, so couldn't drive, be did not want to be dependent on anyone else. He hitched that dang horse up to the buggy and drove him everywhere. If there was traffic or a train, or anything else, that horse would stop and wait for it. He was retired off the track, and all he did was pace. Paced in the field, paced on the buggy, paced when you rode him. In the winter when he couldn't get out in the snow to take care of him, we broght him to our house. When that old man had to move, his daughter left Boomer to us (I believe his registered name was Kaboomerang...or something like that). I rode that horse everywhere up and down the road. I even tried to lope barrels on him at a playday just for the heck of it. He would buck if you asked him to lope...so we paced through the barrels. lol. |
