| We just got back from the All American Youth show. It was a GREAT show. My comments are for those that attend this events that have no common sense, or just don't care.......
When you roll in late and are unpacking.....Please be aware that people are sleeping. Slamming of manger doors and talking loud is not appreciated.
Hanging fans......make sure to use cable ties, tape to secure wires so that your neighbors horses can't get them in their mouth. I was in the stalls and looked up just in time to see one of my horses about to grab a wire from a fan from the stall behind us that they had wrapped around the pole. In the stall that I was standing, the wire poked out into our stall 5".
Dump your water buckets somewhere that is not making a mess for everyone to walk in.
Use designated manure dumps, This is NOT in the stall hallways, outside of your stall.
Horse shows are not an unsupervised playground for children. Jackson, MS is not a safe place and I was amazed at the young children driving golf carts at a high rate of speed after dark (FYI- NBHA Youth world does not allow you to drive a golf cart unless your 18, which is stupid, but this is why they have the rule, because parents don't watch their children)

Location: sunny california | I know what you mean. with all the washracks at southpoint there is always someone that has to wash their horse in the walkway and flood peoples stalls. Some can not be bothered to turn the hose completely off and with it still draining just throw it on the ground to flood your stall. each hose has a drain basin to put the end in so it drains properly. they actually went around and took all the hoses for a day to stop people from flooding stalls.
oh and another vent. 3 bags of shavings is not enough for 5 days. besides your horse having to live in obvious filth we ALL have to breath the amonia. most of the contestants kept clean stalls but their are always those few that do not clean their horses stall the entire time they are there. I feel so sorry for their horses and any horses stalled near them |

| Unfortunately, I think you're preaching to the choir. People who do things like roll in late at night and aren't considerate of others are just rude and probably wouldn't care what others suggest would be better/nicer behavior. |
