...Over a natural spring. We have one 2.5 acre pasture that's basically useless. There is an underground spring that keeps the ground drenched all summer. We'd like to raise the ground to turn it into an outdoor arena to atleast optimize the space.

If we raised it with crushed rock/clay about 2 feet and laid a foot of sand over that would the water still get through that?
