I would think unless you ground it up it would likely just go through the horse? IDK they are pretty small and hard though.
What are you wanting out of feeding it?

I know nobody thats ever mentioned feeding it.

supposed to be good for shiny coat, there is a canola factory here and they put all of the stuff thats left after they get the oil out of it into animal feed. Just was curious.

I prefer using seeds/oil that are higher in omega 3, which have proven anit0inflammatory properties.  I know some who had a small canola plant of their own and used the byproduct on their horses . . . they stopped using it and switched to ground flax which was less expnsive per horse and contaned significantly less omega 9 and 6.
