Chuck and Mary Crago QTR Horses in North of Belle Fourche SD went through a devastating flood on June 17. They are lucky to be alive. Although they didn't fair so well on their ranch. So many of you have asked how you can Help??? We have created a donation account. That is the best way anyone can help. They had NO flood insurance- Please take a look at the link listed below. All donation would GREATLY be appreciated! http://www.gofundme.com/ak03hc
All their vehicles Flooded- including LQ horse trailer. Listed below are just a FEW of the many many items gone...
Barns- Tack rooms, tool shed, lawn mowers, A big generator large enough to run their whole place, Most all corrals- pipe pens, round bale feeders, grain feeders, Grain shed floated down the creek, 60ft heavy duty round pen, all vet supplies, saddles, tack, boots, MILES and Miles of fencing GONE, Most all of the corrals are demolished. --- The list goes on and on....:-(
Very sad situation.. You can read some of their story on the donation Link http://www.gofundme.com/ak03hc
or like CRAGO FAMILY FLOOD RELIEF page on FB to stay updated with progress and photos!
Yes ma'am- they saved around 30 horses and several calves all in the corrals that night. If you got to the link http://www.gofundme.com/ak03hc
You can read a little more about that night. The creek at normal stages is about 20ft across. That night it was a MILE WIDE, still 5-6ft deep at the furthest edges! Talk about scary.
This just breaks my heart. Cragos are some of the best people you will ever meet. The have been through so much with the weather already in their lives. I cannot even imagine this. If you have been to their house you wouldn't believe this was even possible.
