He isnt grulla. No dun markings.
He has a champagne gene over his color.
I do alot of work on mini's and their color descriptions are crazy. Nothing like the quarter horse world.

Looks like a silver grulla, I have a mini but hes a really dark grulla with a dorsal stripe across his shoulders.

Looks like classic champagne... I believe it's a black horse with champagne over which makes them 'lilac' colored! :)
