I have been reading a lot about people having success treating navicular with barefoot trimming and boots such as easy boots with the pads that stiumulate the frog on impact.  Looking for your stories to help me make an informed opinion.  I recently bought a gelding who has mild navicular and I feel like the way he has been shod has not helped him and that the barefoot and boots with pads may be the way to go.   Thanks for your help.

I think you will just need to see what works best for your horse. Its trial and error.

MY 13 YR mild navicular, I keep a wedge shoe on him, plus softrides for being in the trailer on long hauls or when he will be on rocks etc. and he does amazing with that I also give him a shot once a month of adequan, plus he gets platinum performance supplement, with tmd equidite and msm supplement just for extra reassurance. also he gets a 1/4 of a previcox pill on performance days when I will be running him
