| Of my ponies! Well, two of the four LOL I just got back from a month long trip to Texas and while I was gone my gelding has been eating and enjoying life, and my 3 year old filly went to the trainer to get the first 30 days put on her!
The reports I have gotten basically boil down to this: she's sassy and a hot head and likes to do things her way, but she hasn't bucked or reared. When she's in a good mood, she can do really nice things and is very smart and likes to learn. Within 6 rides she was w/t/l, yielding hindquarters, and starting to give to the bit. We knew she had an attitude when I sent her so its not a surprise :) But, she's a sweetheart and a people lover, so hopefully she'll grow up and out of her hot headedness. She has started to meet the trainer at the gate for her rides, so that's a good thing. Get to ride her for the first time tomorrow night! So excited! And my gelding... He was feeling good tonight for our first ride in a month so we had some energy to work out, but once we got it straightened out we had a great ride :) Love my boy! Pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/dont+look+back2
First three pictures are of him, last three are my filly.

Both are very nice looking horses....

| LOL Yes she does. Hancock all through the topside of her pedigree. She's just about too smart for her own good, crazy athletic, and you definitely aren't going to make her do anything. Try and you'll find yourself in a knock down, drag out fight with her. But I like them that way. 99% of the time, the quirky ones have the most heart, grit, and try of any of them. I got to ride her last night and I really like her. She's just like a Music Mount mare I used to ride. Gotta ask her, not tell her ;) Just takes a certain kind of person to get along with those types and I always have so hopefully we'll get through her hot headedness because I know she'll make a fantastic barrel horse. | |

I don't think there is any doubt how much heart a Hancock mare has!!! But pick your fight carefully...
If you really love a fight.... Get a mare with Hancock on the bottom and Impressive on top...

No kidding LOL pick your battles wisely. I think she's just gonna be one of those mares where if she's having a bad day or is in a bad mood, your better off just putting her away and trying again tomorrow. But again, she's athletic as all get out and very very smart, which I can definitely work with. As long as she doesn't start bucking or rearing.
Now Hancock/Impressive...in a mare?! That sounds like an interesting ride LOL ;)

Yeah... before you get on a mare like that... You may want to purchase a good helmet, body armor and maybe a G-suit...
g-suit, or the more accurately named anti-g suit, is a flight suit worn by aviators and astronauts who are subject to high levels of acceleration force (
