I have a 13 year old gelding who was on stall rest for 1 year 6 months. Brought him back went straight to winning BUT 3mos later became lame in the hindend. The 1st tear was front leg. Sooo does any one which treatments really work? Right now I am doing what I did for the front leg runners relief with standing wraps.

I whole heartidly believe in stem cell.  My horse was pretty much diagnosised with being done due to several DDFT lesions.  Today, not even 7 months later, you cannot even see where the injuries were on ultra sound and we will be competing by the end of August.  I strongly recommend a LAMENESS VET, lameness is a speciality and I often see the "general practioners" mis-diagnosising and mis-treating them.

If you don't mind me asking, roughly how much to stem cell treatments run, and what is a typical regimen (number of treatments and time between treatments)?

We only had to inject once.  It was $500 to extract the fat, $2,000  to have them cultured, $500 to inject.  A total of $3,000.  My horse is insured through Markel and they covered 100% of the culture and 60% of the other procedures.  Also, because we had the stem cell cultured, I now have 9 more doses should he substain another injury.  So if that does happen, it will only cost me the $500 to inject.
He was injected in January, and was on a walk trot 20 minutes a day rehab until June.  Now he is in conditioning, lots of trotting and loping now.  Can start circles and manuevers the end of the month!

There is also a generic stem cell called a cell it costs about 200 a bottle, I have had the same success with the generic versus the fat stem cell procedure.

Interesting.  I have never heard of it.  I am familiar with PRP and IRAP but do not think those 2 procedures have quite the same results as the stem cell.  Will have to look into the other.  Thanks.

That is it.

My vet has used in on fractures, tendon, and ligament tears on my horses. All have come back sound with no scar tissue.

I also try and have it injected in within 3 days of injury

My gelding had a high tear on rear suspensory that vet classified as severe and gave him less than 19% chance of recovery, he also pulled a lot of bone off with the suspensory.  I did PRP on him, cost $900,  runners relief sweat at night, iced and magnets during the day.  He healed beautifully and was 100% at 8 months but I gave him a full year off.  He has been back running for 3 years now.  At that time,4 years ago,  vet recommended PRP, said that it would attract the right type of cells for best healing,  that they still were not sure which type of stem cells would work best for this type of injury.

I'm getting a second opinion this week the last vet said it would be a waste of money to do any treatments he won't be performance sound. And that's just to hard for me to believe his tears are mild. I was thinking shockwave or prp. I have been wrapping them nightly. What liniment do you suggest? I was looking at this stuff called black magic

For all you guys using the stem cell therapy you should really look into Equdite their ECJR has stem cell properties and healing benefits that are proven and it helps with all the joints not just suspensory problems. It shows suspensory regrowth within thirty days which is amazing! most people know how long suspensory recovery process is I couldn't believe how quick it helped.
