Location: Kentucky | These things are everywhere! I knock their nests down and spray them down with fly spray, but I think it's fuel for them. Any ideas on how to deal with them? |

Location: Gainesville, TX | Wasp spray? I ran across a big mamba jamba in my shower this morning. It wasn't a daddy long legs though, either a wolf spider or hobo spider. It was like 2x2. Scared the living bejesus out of me. Then I turned around while combing my hair and there's a wasp on my door. Not my morning. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Well on the upside...they prey on other spiders. So you may have less bad ones due to them being around.
But...they creep me out too. I was cleaning a stall and one fell on my arm. I about lost it. I'm sure me flailing my arms and squealing like a little girl was highly entertaining to see.
So...one thing that is relatively non toxic to us but will get them would be boric acid. They pick it up on their bodies/legs as they walk and later ingest it while grooming themselves. |

I have Daddy Longlegs all over the place in my feed room, but I still have Black Widows too, so they dont eat every thing. Darn it  |

Wasp spray will kill black widows, it may take a while for them to die though. I use it to knock them down then I stomp them.
I hate black widows, they always hide in my kids outside toys, scares the crap out of me. |
