| So what is the proper way to put on leg boots? Start from the bottom up velcroing? |

Location: Lost in the corn of Iowa. | I was always told that you start from the top and work your way down. But I'd imagine that as long as they aren't too tight and they stay on then you're doing it right. |

Location: North Dakota | I start at the top, work my way down, get the fetlock strap on nice, then I work my way back up to make sure all the pressure is even, boot is straight, and velcro is on tight. |

| I go from the bottom up so i make sure i get it fitting on the fetlock properly... otherwise if i went from top down it i may have the boot too high up to even go aound the fetlock... or too low and have a gap between fetlock and boot. |

I also start from the bottom to make sure I get proper placement. I do each strap from the bottom up, and then go back and make sure they are as snug as I want them. |

Location: Deep South | I start from the bottom and go up, and reapply straps as needed once the whole boot is on. |

| I do the middle strap, then go to the bottom and work my way up, readjusting the middle strap(s) |

Location: Alabama | I do the middle strap 1st & then work my way down. I then go back to the top & tighten from top down. If it isn't just right, I take it off & start over. What helps me get them straight is velcroing the strap back in the opposite direction. It keeps the straps from randomly attaching somewhere while you are trying to put it on.
I cringe at every show when horses are walking around with one strap loose & the next one tight or the whole boot is turned out of position. |

Me three Sometimes to throw myself for a loop I'll start at the top and go down readjusting the middle strap and making sure everything is A-OK:)
