Psalm 119: 33-48
Eight times in Psalm 119 David said "I shall" or " I will". David alternated between asking God for something and make commitments to God.
In verse 33 , Teach me O Lord, the way of Your statues, and I shall keep it to the end. Think about the prophets and wise teachers to which David had access. Yet he longed for God to be his teacher and the instructor of his life. He said, " Teach, me Oh Lord, the way of Your statues. David asked for understanding from the Lord, and he promised he would observe God's law with his "whole heart: David wanted God to use the Word to change his life.
God, would You teach us Your Word and Your way? Use Your Word to change our lives. We will listen and obey.
