Location: Oklahoma | He let me pick all other 3, but the last one which happened to be right front. Calling the vet in the morning for an appointment, but what might we be dealing with?
He trotted around his pasture fine after I let him go, then I re caught him and tried again and he still wouldn't. He had rather fall on his knees than let me pick it out. |

Location: Oklahoma | Thanks! I noticed him giving me some trouble picking it out on Monday, but I manged to get the job done. Then last night he just flat out refused. Should he appear to be lame? He trotted around and put on a nice little show last night. Regardless, we have an appointment first thing in the morning. |

Location: Oklahoma | His right stifle was out. Nothing came up on his feet and vet was able to get his foot up. Would have never occurred to me, but now I remember signs. |

| A young girl I gave lessons to had her gelding do this just randomly out of the blue, wouldn't pick up right front foot. Went on for weeks. Was tested positive for Lyme Disease a few months later after some other random symptoms started showing up. Once he started treatment he went back to being normal about picking up his foot. I'm sure that's not what you're dealing with... But I definitely wouldn't have linked it with that before she'd dealt with it. |
