Is there any other brand besides High Country plastics that sells the stand up kind? I keep reading reviews that say they leak and I know my friends does leak as well.

All I could find is High Country. I know quite a few of my friends had them and I never recall them complaining about them leaking.

I have 2 now and never had a problem. In the past years I've probably had 3 or 4 both stand up and laid down type and not one has ever leaked.

Mine only leaks through the bottom hole, I think there is something wrong w/ the sealant in my hose spigot so I'm getting a new one. I also always travel w/ 2 diesel cans (marked EVERYWHERE w/ water) incase I need to move some quickly (fire/emergency/etc).

I have  a High Country flat back/half-moon water tank ordered through ValleyVet as well.  No problem at all with leaking but, I will say, when we ordered the pic showed the faucet as being some kind of metal but when it came it was actually plastic to connect the hose to rather than metal.  My hubby got it all installed with battery and water pump and I LOVE it...no issues at all with leaking at all. I've had it about 3 or 4 years now.  It's worth it's weight in gold!!

P.S. ask your friends who have leaking if it's their hose that leaks or the actual tank.
