don't get me wrong. It's possible to make them on the muscle but it's more than likely you amping them up. Both of mine came from the track so they should be hotter and actually are very quiet. The younger one you can feel him control his anxiety in the warm up with all the horses around. It's like he sighs and thinks whew that horse is gone oh cap here's another one coming lol but still walks flat footed and listening to me the whole time. He's green and I've been hauling him some this year. Great personalities also!

I have a 3 yo filly that is a grand daughter. So far I really like her. She's a big filly but still very athletic. Good minded and easy to be around.

So what are some good Stallions by Corona Cartel. I'd like to try one on my mare maybe but I need a "laid back" one and I've heard they can get hot quick.

Hot Corona. They all seem to have wonderful personalities. My biggest problem has been training a "laid back, quick horse" that's turning into a free running, turny horse. LOL. Mine is out of First Down Dash daughter that goes back to Moon Spot It and Azure Te (TB).

I have a yearling out a hot mare, super sweet baby i crawl all over her she takes it well very personable with being respectfull, i need to carry a block in the stall to,lay on her as she is a yearling last week i turned her out she can back to,get me to pet her i jumped up on her neck she did nothing. She is,so sweet. Not a mean bone type horse very personable, i did breed her back to,same stallion he does not, have many babies on ground like 14 or 15 a couple of aa runners and i nice barrel horse. I just bought a year old by little corona. What i heard is ether they are good minded or,hot. But most are good minded and they can clock, easy. They are free runners and can be turny. I will know soon when i break my mare as i owned her mother she was turneyand a free runner hopefully we get a tiny bit more speed mon was a 1-d horse like out of 600/700 head about 10th place type horse.

Ivory James and PYC are sons I would love to have babies by. I love OTT horses or those who are bred to go to the track. Give me run!

We have an Ivory James 2 year old at the house right now and I bought a yearling Pappasito. Both are out of Bully mares. I really like both of them. I love Pappasito. He is a beautiful animal and he sure has s strong female side. But most of the CC's do, lol!

I have a Corona Cartel (Hot Corona is sire) 6 yr gelding. Sweet sweet like a Labrador Retriever. However he is definitely a late bloomer on barrels. Pretty timid and not confident of himself. I still think he is going to come on strong with maturity.

Well, I'd worry more about the bottom side of that pedigree than the top.

But if this individual is good minded, that's a heck of a nice pedigree! I'd guess that more horses bred that way will be good ones than not . . . but you have some heat there!

That's a pretty spicy pedigree there! Moon Lark wouldn't even make my list to cross on a Cartel stallion. Definitely one to go really really slow with when brining it along. But, that is based on just looking at the pedigree. They could be much different. I am not really a fan of the Cartels unless they are on the mare's side and by DTF.

I have a 4 year old filly who's a granddaughter of Corona Cartel on the top (her sire is Coronas Leaving You) and full TB on the bottom. I LOVE her. Shes so laid back and has a great work ethic, and nothing bothers her. Shes very smart, and she's FAST. She just started hauling this year, and slow loping with a lot of room to improve she's in the top of the 4D. I'd buy another in a heartbeat!

Well thanks for all the comments guys ! I haven't really read anything bad about them .. But each horse is an individual so it's hard to say for sure .. She is bred to run though & that's what I'm looking for .. I have a young cow bred filly now , she's loping the pattern .. But she's not going to have the grit & speed I'm wanting I don't believe . She's way too lazy .. So I am back to looking at running blood

I have one by prime talent (xCC) and out of a cowbred mare. Very ornery, very late maturing, into EVERYTHING, been physically very sound, gets bored if you don't keep him thinking, far from hot but can FLY, just doesnt know he can with me on his back yet, lol. Sky is the limit. I ADORE him. But can see why you don't see a ton in futurity riders hands.

I'm just gonna be completely honest and this is my opinion so im sure it's not everyones, but I don't like the way she looks in the videos that come up when you google her name. I just think you can find better horses still for good prices.
