I am looking at shipping a horse from Oklahoma to California. I was wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with the horse shippers on the market.

John Floyd is awesome! I can't say enough good things about him. He is a horseman and takes care of your horse like it belongs to him. Had a horse shipped from AZ to Texas and the horse came off the trailer fresh and hydrated.

Ditto on this. He does make frequent trips to California too.

BAD experience with Warhorse Transport last month (June 2014). Yearling did not survive after being hauled by them.

OMG, I am so sorry! That's awful . . . .
I thought I had a bad experience with them not picking up on time (like months late, I'm not talking hours) and not communicating. But mine, eventually they got there alive . . . didn't know how lucky I was, I guess.
Again, so sorry.
Who ever you consider, please google the name. Then of course read with some common sense. Some of those complainers don't know the horse business or are just over reacting to little things. But now and then you'll read complaints by real horse people and see trends about horse haulers . . . and then you can avoid them.
