| Proverbs 19:21 There are many plans in a man's heart, Nevertheless the Lord's counsel that will stand.
Plans, we all have them, we all make them. Proverbs says that there are many plans in our hearts Most of us live with computers, planners, and devices to help us stay on track with our plans. There's nothing wrong with any of that unless we forget ultimately only the plans and purpose of God will stand. We may make lots of plans, but the Lord will do what He has decided.
We experience the fullness of life when we submit our plans to Him for His approval. James writes that all of our plans need to start with the preface, if it is with the Lord's will. It is a constant reminder that He alone is sovereign and He holds our lives in His hands.
God wants us to live in accordance with His plan and will for our lives. We have all heart lots of talks about the will of God, and sometimes it's a mystery to us. While it is not always clear what the will of God may be in a given situation, we are not left without direction and purpose. Two things are certain about the plans of God. We are to live in obedience to that which He clearly revealed in Scripture, and we are to glorify Him in all things. As long as we are willing to live with those two principles, then I believe God will graciously lead us through those times when His plan may not seem as clear as we desire.
I believe that God gives us strength and grace to live just one day at a time. Revealing His plans to us in daily living is part of the true mercies of God. Make a plan, submit it to the Lord, stick to it, and trust Him with the outcome.
FOR IT IS WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
