My kids are too old, and I miss going. I enjoy watching though. I've had it on all week on and off. Watching most of the finals. I have a question. I don't usually complain, but well, I'm going to I guess. The announcers have made some comments that I find well, kind of out of place at a youth event.
Just a short time ago a famous horse ran that shares a name with an alcoholic beverage. He said several times "I'm not going to touch that"...stuff like that. I know that's not a big deal, but it's not the first time I have thought that. Several times the horses names were sort of suggestive, and the remarks were what I thought should be for an adult audiance. Of course no cussing or anything, but references to things young kids should not understand and older kids may, but I just thought it was out of place. Maybe I'm just grouchy because I'm not there any more
I don't think the comments are bad. I mean disney movies and pixar make the same off hand comments but some people don't catch them. It gets monatonous announcing and everyone sitting their gets bored too. I like they are just trying to keep the crowds attention and have a little fun. But I see your point.
