Thank you Roxie, you're so sweet. She's my mom's mom which is extra special for me. She even talked about some memories of my mom when I saw her yesterday, just a super day she was having. |

Don't worry about calling me old.... at 56 I figure I am.... The "grandma Under the tree" thread is prolly unrecoverable... But it's one of the most famous threads this place has ever produced... Us old farts refer to it once in awhile..

I like to think so... My dad turned 92 this year and we still argue every chance we get... |

Glad she was able to communicate with you yesterday. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease. Hope you are able to enjoy more happy days with her. |

| OOOOOOO She is so pretty. Please start today writing every thing she says down and keep it in a safe place. Have her write you a little note to keep. Those are the most special things I have of my grandmothers. Glad you enjoyed your day. |

My grandma Nellie died of Alzheimers at the age of 95 last year, but right up until the last time I saw her she still recognized me and told anyone who would listen about how my big sister would call me Vicky Shnitt when she was little because she couldn't say Jeanette, lol! I miss her alot, give your Granny a hug for me! |

Location: CTX | That is a great pic!! And it made me smile.... and think about my own grandmothers. Especially my dad's mom. She passed away 6 days shy of turning 106 years old. And she also was a little bitty.... The thing I remember the most about her is that she never got mad, never said anything bad about anyone and never was in a bad mood! Even though she lived through 2 WW's, and her town was bombed in WWII so she had to leave everything that she knew to build up a new life....
Please enjoy all the time you can with her, so precious!!! |
