 Don't Wanna Make This Awkward

Location: Texas | For a weekender package LQ 3 horse? Im really wanting a high quality trailer and looking around 2005-2007... Our first trailer was used and we had lots of problems so this makes me skeptical but now we have a 3 horse Elite gn thats a 2012 to trade. The first was a sundowner so maybe just the way they were built makes the Elite so much better. Anyways is it rediculous to look around $20k, I say around because if we found a nice enough one we could spend more. Also how much does it usually cost to finish out a LQ? |

| I'm more bumping this up than helping I'm sure but I just bought my first LQ trailer. I bought an older 3H aluminum with a sink & microwave with a 4ft shortwall. Its a 4-star (from what I have heard makes nice trailers). It very well put together and has lasted very well over the years. I paid around 10K for mine. You're looking at least double with wanting more than that in LQs and wanting a newer trailer. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | Click on Horse Trailers on top of this page and you can go look at ads to see what is out there. You''re not going to get a top end 3 horse with LQ's for $20,000. for a 2005 to 2007 unless you get very lucky. |

| A few years ago we bought our daughter a 3 year old 3H Cimarron with 6' short wall, I think the trailer was around 17K and we spent 10K having an LQ put in. Our friend did it so did not cost as much, was able to use cedar etc in the LQ, put some turquoise on the counters. It was a neat little trailer.

My mom recently bought a 10 year old 3H Elite with about a 6' short wall that was unfinished. She paid about $18k for the trailer and had it finished with a sink, fridge, microwave, cabinets, and a cowboy shower in the first stall. I haven't seen it since it's been done, but I'd say she got some mid-range finishes and she spent more than she originally planned, so I'm guessing easily $10k +. |

Location: Muskogee, OK | A few months ago I bought a 2001 3h Elite with a weekender package... The trailer was barely used and still smelled new inside. I worked out a trade for my bumper pull trailer with the woman I bought it from... I guess considering in my trade I spent about $16,000 on it (My trailer was probably worth about $6,000 and I ended up giving her $10,000 cash + my trailer for the elite trailer) If you are looking for something a little newer I think you'll be in the $20,000-$25,0000 range. |

Location: Central Montana | I'd have to agree. My friends had a LQ put in and it cost around $10,000.
Look on Horse Trailer World to see what similar trailers are going for like what you want and go from there.
We listed our weekender LQ this morning (it is not what you are looking for- it is a 4 horse -) and we want to sell so we listed it a little below what people are asking for similar trailers. |
