a Clydesdale? yes..a Clydesdale (haha they fit right in with my barrel herd) :) My mom had one a couple of years ago...and he passed away from old age. For her birthday this year, I would love nothing more than to surprise her with another clyde.

Try Lodestar Clydes they are in TN. She no longer breeds but often will know of something for sale.
I have four Clydes now - yes 4, lol (3 blacks and a bay)!!! Their personalities are so addicting! I found my first one by contacting Lodestar since it was the closest breeder I could find - all of her clients agree to give her first buyback rights and she just happened to know of one that would work for me. I then found another on craigslist that was extremely malnourished so of course I had to rescue him. I lost my first one to a devastating accident last October (still heartbroken over it). I contacted Lodestar again just to let her know what happened (not looking for another). She emailed me in March asking me if I would be interested in taking one in that had a few dental issues but was of the same bloodlines as my beloved first. So I took him as well as his pasture mate. My husband had given me a baby for Christmas and he just arrived 2 weeks ago. So that's how I got to 4. Beware, lol.

we have a Draft Horse Rescue here in Ct. it is run by a vet and they adopt out horses. You can try Camelot auctions in New Jersey also it you want to rescue something. they are thin (skinny) but with love and good food the ones I have seen are doing great.

Look the above up on FB. She might have one that needs a home. Since your getting it for your mom i'm assuming it'd b a keeper kinda situation so adopting might be a good option for you. If she doesn't have one she might know of someone needing to rehome one. Just a cheaper and close option since they are in Greeneville TN
