 I Drink Whiskey in Boys Shorts

| Alright ladies, and handful of men. I need some serious motivation. I had a baby 9 months ago and have yet to ride my horse. In fact, I haven't ridden her since March of 2013. I got on a roll for a couple weeks of lunging her, and then tying her up for awhile. None of this involving actually saddling her at any point. I was doing this with the anticipation of having my fiance ride the kinks out of her for me. Well, now I am back to staying so busy in the house I am not messing with her at all, AGAIN. I so desperately need to ride, not only for physical well being, but my mental well being.
Any tips on getting motivated and staying there?
Anyone who is in the same boat as me care to chime in and keep each other motivated?
Teehaha. I would loooove to see some Cheyenne pics from you again, at least I think it was you that posts the great pics from Cheyenne. That is what got me off the couch and outside a few years back. |

| Its hard, and sometimes i torn with confuses unmotivated with an absoulty unattainable schedules. Sometimes with a baby thats been up almost all night you cant just get up early and go ride, as you have just gone to bed lol.
For me I have to keep really positive about that, if I do t get out every day I tell my self its my fault and I museum really want it that bad, then I just want to give up. So I have to keep telling my self its ok some days you just physically can not do it. |

Too funny that you replied. I was actually going to call you out on a new post to see what you do to stay motivated. I know you have kids, plus a new one, and still find time to ride and compete more often than not. My little girl takes two naps a day on average and my two boys are home schooled, so I need to learn how to put myself first again some times. I have forgotten how to do that as of late. I have also forgotten how to motivate myself. I am hopeful that this post will give me the spark I so desperately need again! |
