Is there any real big difference between the 2 feeds?? I prefer a textured feed over pellet.

Not sure as far as comparison between the two, but Purina Omolene 200 is extremely high in sugars...39% NSC!

I won't feed Omolene because of the ridiculous amount of sugar. I was feeding it to my usually calm mare and she bucked me off, twice. Never happened again after I took her off it!

WOW! That is extremely high! Triumph is 7% sugar and 27% starch. On the higher end of the starch one would want, however, it is much easier to feed a complete feed than mixing your own or just oats and adding in all the supplements.

I would look into the Blue Seal Sentinel Performance LS - much lower in starch and a good performance feed.

IMO, Nutrena and Purina are behind the 8-ball in terms of good selections of feed compared to Blue Seal and Triple Crown; they have much more options for low starch high fat feeds.

I have access to Nutrena, Purnina and ADM if I make the drive to get it.

Strategy Healthy Edge or Ultium would be a good choice if your options are limited to Purina and Nutrena.

Agreed, I like Healthy Edge and have had good results with it.

What does Purina HE cost a bag? I don't think TSC carries it in our area. Would need to find a dealer.
