I picked him up last week. I was not in the market what so ever but I saw him posted on FB and there was just something about him. Turns out he is a a half brother to my once in a lifetime good horse I sold a few years back. They are out of the same dam. I have wanted something related since I sold him but they are always outrageously priced. Although my good horse will never be replaced I am so happy to have something that reminds me of him in my pasture again
He is 10 and was broke as a 3 year old and has basically sat ever since. He bred 3 mares last year and was bred back to those same three this year but that is the extent of his breeding career. I have rode him 3 times and he is an absolute DREAM. Carries himself as beautifully as it gets and wants to please so much.
Here are some photos of him. He needs quite a bit of weight but I wanted some before photos.
Regardless of what he ends up being he makes my heart extremely happy because he reminds me so much of the gelding I had.

Thanks everyone! A friend of mine owns his yearling colt and said she will send him to me next spring to break so I can see how his babies are =) He has the best mind I have ever been around which was just like his half brother so I hope he passes it down. I did not buy him for breeding purposes but we will see what happens.

Southtxponygirl - 2014-07-31 8:30 PM Hes really pretty Did you take the pictures of him? If so you did a great job.
My mother is a professional photographer so I am kind of spoiled with horse pictures =) It has definitely been a learning experience trying to figure out how to photograph them to look right

SpottedT - 2014-08-01 4:53 AM I like him. Are you going to ride him/run him?
Yes I am. Hoping to turn him into a breakaway horse and put him on the pattern. His brother was a wicked pole horse so just because I love poles I may see what he can do on them as well. I already trotted him through the pattern a couple times and he naturally does everything so correctly. I am excited!
