Location: Dubach, LA | Seriously, I had on a Humane Society tee tonight and was approached by a couple about a hog. Big hog that has been kept for YEARS in a small stock trailer. Hog doesn't have room to turn around. Never cleaned. Lady moved from the house and comes by every couple of days and throws in food. Local sheriff says he doesn't know what to do. Local rescue can't take a hog. Any ideas? |

I was going to suggest donating him to hunters for the hungry, or just some poor families you know....but never mind. |

Location: NW. Florida | Turn it out and let it go wild, but my area we have enough wild hog problems. The other recommendation you're against. |

Seriously. Is this a Boar or a Barrow? At several years of age and minimal care/handling an intact male (boar) might be tough to manage. Good luck...let us know if you are able to help him get to a better situation. |

Location: California | Could you try posting him on RescueMe.Org under farm animals in LA ? They have a hog on there now and a rooster . I have had a LOT of success placing rescue dogs on the site and it is free.
Good luck! |
